Naturpark Steigerwald – The monastery of Ebrach was founded in the year 1127, but the foundation stone to the basilica wasn’t placed until the year 1200. During the secularisation, the monastery of Ebrach was dissolved like lots of others. The »Kaisersaal« is located in the upper part of the
monastery. Today, it is mainly used for representation, one of the famous events is the »summer of music« in Ebrach. A richly decorated stairway leads to the Kaisersaal. It is surrounded by wonderful paintings and the relieves on the ceiling.
